The increased need of public interaction in the quadrangle of Edinburgh Napier University found its way to the design of efflux. This project focuses on using sustainability approach to create an architectural form to bring the academic users and neighbouring community together. The second main space is the library garden which is only occupied by the students of Napier University. The gesture was to highlight the circulation between multiple entrances and to celebrate the historic Merchiston Napier Castle. The distinct climate and culture led to the exploration of flowing forms allowing for casual and spontaneous interactions.
